2012? Really scared? Anyone have an answer

So recently in the last 14 months, we've had 2 earthquakes. One you couldn't feel, the other was on he verge of causing actual damage, and these are the only earthquakes in my area for at least 13 years. Of course I watched the 2012 movie and It kind of freaked me out.. The earthquakes didn't scare me much, because I figure its just plate tectonics moving? Whenever I ask people for reassurance they are always like "live in the now" or "Nobody knows for sure".. It bothers me that that if I actually did die I would miss so much(selfish). I know of all the other doomsday crap, but I can't get all of this out of my head. I guess, is they're an logical explanation for all of this or this being a fraud. Please don't try to scare me more! I'd appreciate any advice!

OK first of all, Earthquakes happen. That's just the way our planet is. Second of all, the world is not just going to randomly blow up, that's nonsense.

Our sun is fine, and will be fine for the next 1 billion years. By then we would be advanced enough to find a different planet. Our sun will get too hot to support life on Earth 1 billion years from now. 5 billion years from now our sun will expand and engulf Earth. Earth being the new Mercury or earth being swallowed by the sun.


There is also no huge asteroids coming our way. And nobody can predict the end of the world, the Mayan calender will not end in 2012. It will actually restart, not end.

It's just a theory.
No one can really say that it is or it isn't going to happen.
Don't worry about it, if you did die, you wouldn't miss much, because everybody else would die too. ;)
I'm not sure if that helps any, though.
I would assume death would be quick and painless if the world ended...
