I was sitting on my porch here in North Attleboro, MA smoking a cigarette, when I saw this large almost neon green teardrop shape fly through the sky right below the tree line. It is very dark here so I saw it clear as day. There was no noise. It moved fairly quickly but by the size of the thing it had to be close to the ground. What is this? Has anyone else seen this?

I would guess that it was a bright meteor, a small asteroid big enough to survive its fall all the way to the ground.
What you saw (teardrop, green) probably means that it was still quite high (roughly at the altitude where jets fly), and had been slowed down by the atmosphere. If you saw it at the tree line it means that it was some distance away from you (tens of miles). I did see these a few times (maybe four of five in my whole life of observing the sky).
It is also possible that what you saw is a piece of space junk that fell back to Earth (but not the big satellite that we heard about all last week - that actually fell far from where you live). Although green is sometimes possible for such objects, they normally appear whitish or yellowish.

Congratulations, you spotted a bolide (i.e., a meteor). My brother saw one of those on his way home one evening. The Earth gets hit by meteors more often than you probably imagine, and hit by meteors big enough to penetrate low and be seen in broad daylight more often than you'd expect. The lack of sound is typical.
