What is your opinion on comet Elenin

Personally, I don't think it's going to do anything severe, but I'm interested in learning more about it. I heard an earthquake has happened everyday it and the Earth were aligned, and isn't it supposed to be aligned tomorrow or perhaps a few days? I also heard that it's starting to break down, which is the main reason I don't think it's going to be that bad. What is your opinion on this? Do you think it's going to cause an apocalypse? Why or why not?

What matters are the facts.

It is a fact that comets cannot cause earthquakes. It is a fact that there are earthquakes on Earth every day — every single day — so of course there are earthquakes every day that a comet is in an interesting position. It is a fact that this comet is much smaller and much farther away than the Moon, so its influence on Earth is much less than that of the Moon. It is a fact that this comet is no different from dozens or hundreds of others present in our solar system.

It is a fact that this comet is of no danger to us and is not capable of affecting the Earth in any way.

Elenin is a long period orbit comet discovered on December 10, 2010 by a man named Leonid Elenin at an observatory in New Mexico (sorry, I forgot the name). As you may know, doomsayers will use anything for their next doomsday object, and in this case, they made a poor choice. The comet is supposed to be "aligned" next Monday. Maybe it will align. Will it cause an apocalyptic event. Absolutely not. If you search Elenin on YouTube (please don't, I made this mistake myself) you'll get people making some crazy claims. For example: "NASA admitted the existence of Elenin", "Comet Elenin coming at full speed towards Earth", "Top scientists agree that Elenin will destroy Earth", etc.
