Where did the idea start? Why this comet?......
When people say "NASA admitted..." it usually means NASA didn't admit. To make a long story short, Comet Elenin is nothing to worry about. Hope I helped :).
What is aligned? You can draw a straight line between any two objects.
Elenin is a fairly ordinary small comet, which came no closer than 22 million miles from Earth, just closer than Venus can. In 1910 Earth went through the tail of Halley's Comet, which is eight times the size of Elenin. Result: one clipped tail.
Some cultists, scam artists and hucksters have latched onto Elenin to make money off suckers.
Opinions about celestial objects are totally irrelevant. All that a question like this demonstrates is that some people are desperate enough for attention from other people online that they are willing to lose five points to waste other people's time.
I am still baffled how this one comet out of all the other comets now passing through the inner solar system came to be though of as different. Where did the idea start? Why this comet?
