Is there a limit to how small something can be

..-The physics of our time (so far) says yes. There a value known as Plancks Constant; something like1.6 x 10^-35 meters.Above that size the laws of nature we know apply.......
As in if the smallest thing we know of was somehow cut in half, and then those two havles were cut in half, etc...

I have often wondered this as well :) Scientificly speaking, the atom is the smallest unit of matter that there is. However, although painstakingly difficult, some atoms can be split in two...

The physics of our time (so far) says "yes."
There a value known as Planck's Constant; something like 1.6 x 10^-35 meters.
Above that size the laws of nature we know apply. Below that is what is called the quantum foam; where nothing is stable or predictable.
Since this constant gives us a length limit, it also indicates a time period limit of 10^-43 seconds. Although the smallest measurement of time so far is called an atto at 10^-18 second.
