If the moon has pphases why doesn't that make us think the moon revolves around the sun rather than the earth

This is really confusing to me. Can u help???

The moon "phases" have to do with the position the moon happens to be in as it circles the earth. We know that the moon is circling the earth because of its close proximity in the sky and by the way the sun hits it relative to its position to the setting sun.

Also, the moon never changes in size as it moves through the sky. Which proves that it revolves around the earth and not the sun.

The moon revolves counter clockwise (same as the earth) relative to the northern pole of earth and becomes visible in phases as the side of the moon that faces the sun is revealed to us.

Earth's shadow causes lunar eclipses, not phases. The dark part of the Moon is simply the part that is in the Moon's own shadow, which is caused by the Moon blocking the sunlight.

the moon revolves around us and the moon has phases caz it rotates on its axis and if the moon revolves around the sun then that would make the moon and the earth on the same orbital path, therefore making us collide wit the moon but the moon truly revolves around the earth

The moon Revolves around Both. That should confuse you even more.

The moon Revolves around the Earth, It is the Earths Shadow on the moon that causes the Phases.

We revolve around the sun, and the moon revolves around us
