f(x)=cube root of x
-
It's odd because f(-x) always equals -f(x).
For example ³√(8) = 2 and ³√(-8) = -2.
The graph has 180° rotational symmetry about the origin.
I hope this helps.

odd power (1/3) odd function - also graph makes it clear it is not symmetrical around y
Crap, Microsoft Math graphed it as show2d(plotEq2d(y=cbrt(x))) and it is classically odd. WolframAlpha did it completely differently, and the graph there is not odd. Sigh.
