This may sound a bit stupid but are cows always with milk

They always have milk but they are not milked when they are pregnant. After a cow gives birth to a calf, we let her nurse for a few days to a week and then when we get her back to milking, we seperate her milk from the others and put it in the bucket that we either give to her calf in a big calf sized bottle or if she is old enough to drink from a bucket, we pour it in a bucket. If the mother has more milk than just for her calf, we give it to the other calfs that still drink milk. When a mothers milk is finally good for humans to drink, her milk is put with the others and her calf and the other calves are fed powdered milk that you mix with waem water. It is very good for them too. But we milk her for about six months to a year before we dry her off (which means giving her a break from milking until she has a calf again) so if you are worried that you are taking from the calf, dont worry. She will not be milked when she is pregnant with a calf.

actually, no. cows need to have recently given birth in order to produce milk. Sadly, they sometimes either kill the calf, ship it off to some other farm, or "raise it" to be used on their farm later on.
