Gorgeous photo.
As others have pointed out, you've captured the center of the Milky Way. That bright star just right of center is Antares.
I second the idea of submitting it to one of the astronomy magazines--they've always got a "reader's photos" section. You won't get paid, but it's still a nice thing to add to your resume.

Yes, that's the central part of the Milky Way in the middle of the picture. The large bright patch in the center is the Sagittarius Star Cloud. The Milky Way itself stretches all the way around the sky, because we are inside it, but it's brightest around the galactic center in Sagittarius. The dark areas are clouds of cold gas and dust that block our view of the stars.

Congratulations. You have a beautiful photo of the Milky way showing the core. You can see the Milk dipper (Sagittarius) in the brightest part. The telescope reversed the photo I think. At the left (above along the Milkyway) you can see the asterism of three stars with δ Scorpii ('Dzuba') in the middle.

Yes. That photo is worthy of publication at Sky & Telescope in the monthly gallery, or in Astronomy Magazine. Please submit it. Include data.

Wow that is a beautiful photo! Yes, that is the Milky Way galaxy.

That was an incredible photo. I'm stunned.
