I know this sounds weird, but I'm actually hoping for one. As many of you know , we are in the middle of a drought, and the only way to get the amount of rain we need Is to have a hurricane. I keep missing the news, so have you heard if we are going to have a hurricane?

There is no way to forecast more than about a week in advance that a specific location will experience a hurricane. Climatologically there is a small chance each year for Houston to experience a hurricane and once in a while they do. Yes, that looks like what is going to be needed to at least put a good dent in the severe drought conditions there, but even a slow moving tropical depression can do just as well for that.

Remember Tropical Storm Allison? Be careful what you wish for. I would rather have fires and plants dying than a massive flood and wind damage

Don't with for hurricanes. They kill people. Wish for rain, or floods.(;
