ok so we've done three chemical reactions coming up i.e
Mg(SO4)(aq) + NaOH(aq) YIELD MgOH(?) + Na2So4(?)
and it produced a substance with a jelly like characteristics with liquid on the top. My question is which one of the end products would be classified as a solid and which would be classified as an aqueous solution (ps i know the equations not balanced) Na2SO4 was a common end product and something bonded to an -OH group in all three reactions (and all three reactions had the jelly like substance in the product via visual observations)

magnesium hydroxide, Mg(OH)2 is a solid.
sodium sulfate Na2SO4 is aqueous

Solubility of Na2SO4 in water is very high and solubility of Mg(OH)2 is pretty low, generally hydroxides of II.A and d-elements are not very soluble in water and they precipitate...
