A little background information:
I'm 13 years old
I have a massive interest in physics due to the fact that I'm amazed at things like neutrinos, particles and theories such at general relativity.
People find it weird when I tell them this but I don't know why. Surely they should be encouraging my interest. I hopefully want to do maths and physics A-Level. Maths I'm good at but physics I'll hope determination will see me through (I've heard stories about how it's really hard and I don't doubt them)

Because most people find the subject so difficult and have no understanding of it, so it's easier to think your interest is weird, rather than their lack of knowledge.
I would encourage you to keep developing your interest. The field will always need great thinkers, and jobs will be easy to come by. Plus you'll be able to work in many different countries. Yes, getting your degrees wont be easy, but I have no doubt you can do it. (Plan on going for at least one PhD)
Also, if you get discouraged by agemates who think your interests are weird, come back here and ask the same question!
