Supposedly, sometimes people think that demons, poltergeist and ghost (spirits) are all evil and are all connected to being actual demons. It is one of those things that you have to decided what YOU believe it is.

Demons (They are fallen angels)

that's a very good question. Poltergeists are essentially demons that cause mischief. So a paranormal entente can be a demon, yet also they can be poltergeists if their actions classify them as such.

The difference between demons and ghosts are subject to debate. It is the occult belief that Satan had this conspiracy that demons pretend to be ghosts so they can creep out innocent people without having to worry about being sent back to hell. Several people (not including myself) believe that idea to be insane or crazy.

The people who believe that ghosts and demons are two different things may or may not believe either of the two are actually existent. Either way they believe that demons are soldiers from hell and ghosts are dead souls which are forced to walk the earth eternally.
