Gods and magic are the most ludicrous things primitive man ever came up with to explain anything... he may as well have suggested that a one-eyed flat-chested Turtle with the assistance of half a dozen near-naked Flamingos did it... ;)

Atheist do you know where all things come from ? ENERGY most likely . am i a scientist ?. no so why are you asking Atheist . atheism is only a Position on divinity ONLY . no just because religion wishes to Claim they know how the earth formed or the sun thats your issue not mine . My issue being an ATHEIST deals with one issue ..you seem to need an answer . i will allow science to give me an answer , and if they have evidence . fine .. i personally do not care it doesn't change my life ....the answer religion gives you is a deity . if you wish to accept it fine ,, thats not my issue , my issue is Divinity and you obviously can not substantiate god is the creator of the earth because that is your proposition # 2 you have not proven preposition # 1 yet the existence of a deity so both your claims remain unsubstantiated and since they are both propositions ,, you can not use either one to claim as evidence for the other . see now you have to prove two thing . ..you made the claim for both ..I made no claims

No Atheists claim to know "where all thing come from". (in fact that usually comes from the deeply religious.) I am personally an Atheist, but all that means is that I don't believe in a god(s). As for evolution, that also does not claim to explain everything, just how it changes overtime. No theory ever claims to explain everything (or if there is, it isn't widely accepted, or there would be no science.) Not even creationism tries to explain everything, just some aspects of life. So, basically, NOBODY can know everything, and those who claim they do, don't truly understand the concept of their beliefs.
