The bacteria in your toilet is usually directly from fecal matter. You should never place raw meats directly on your kitchen counter, but on the most part bacterias in your kitchen are of varieties that we often consume without affect. The bacterias in your toilet are literally from your poo. Although there may be numerically less bacteria, I would prefer not to eat toilet sandwiches.......
I've read a few sources stating that you're better off making a sandwich over your toilet than over your kitchen counter. They claimed kitchens attracted more pathogens and parasites.

This is a commonly stated fact usually told when trying to gross you out or buy a new wham-bam kitchen cleaner. Although disturbingly true, it should be taken with a pinch of salt. Consider these points:

your kitchen bench is often damp from cleaning,
your kitchen bench often comes into contact with meats and soft nutrient-rich foods that harbour bacteria,
The bacteria in your toilet is usually directly from fecal matter.
