I'm writing a murder novel and I was curious because it seems like a good way to get rid of a body. Also, does any one know any untraceable/undetectable poisons? thanks.

Thermite generates a lot of heat, and it's enough heat to incinerate bone into ash (which probably could still be determined to be bone ash), but you'd need an awful lot of thermite to incinerate a whole body.
My master's degree is in electrical engineering and computer science. Does that make it a 'collage' degree? Sorry, couldn't resist.
Your final statement could actually make the book interesting. How writing a murder novel can result in the death of the author.

Pretty easily, but it'll also destroy the floor under the bone.
