Just tell me processes that would cause the category of a rock to be ambiguous....between igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary I mean.
Example: a volcano explodes and the lava falls to form a layer of sediment. Now it's both sedimentary and igneous.

Your example probably isn't proving what you hope. However You could say that a sediment that has undergone early stages of metamorphosis could be considered both metamorphic and sedimentary. Alternatively you could consider a glacial till or conglomerate which is formed by sedimentary processes but includes fragments of pre-existing rocks.
