Okay so I live on the east coast in Virginia. We had an aftershock about 20-30 minutes ago. Do you think that it is over? Ok thanks :)

Honey i live in va and what u thought was an aftershock was really another earthquake it was 4.2. If u feel shakin again then dnt go outside or car get in the bath tub. Itl be safer.

I live on the west coast and can tell you the one in Virginia may have been the quake or maybe a pre-quake.....you may feel aftershocks for days or weeks or longer.........the best science on quakes we have today is not much more the guesses.........good luck and enjoy them.....its mother nature just proving she still rules the world !

I felt that aftershock up in fredericksburg and no aftershocks can continue through the week

no there will be many aftershocks ranging from 3.8 up to 8.9 like the one in japan.
