Are psychologists and/or psychiatrists able to treat pedophilia

No, current psychiatry does not have a cure for pedophilia. Not even close. Why do you think there is a sex offender list, and when they get out they can't live near schools, parks, day cares, etc.? The time for these kinds of crimes are huge, and there are many groups who seek to influence parole board hearings to keep them in jail because there is very little they can do to "reform" pedophiles. Sexuality is so deep in the brain, that unless they are altered (more on that in a minute), there is no psychiatry that can get that deep and change anything.

If I was in charge, I would offer in-mates of pedophilia charges the opportunity to choose if they want to be castrated for a large reduction in time and penalties afterwards. Give them about a month or two after that and they won't have much of a sex drive for anything anymore lol. Of course maybe I am a bit cruel when it comes to this subject, though haha.
