I am 38 weeks pregnant and shouldn't my doctor check to see if im dilated. I go in today for a doctors appointment but even at my 37 week appointment they didn't look just listened to the babies heart beat asked me how I am doing and I went home....
I know I have a had a 0 complicated pregnancy, everything has gone perfect and smooth.... But it worries me that now getting to the end that im not getting enough answers.... And i ask lots of questions but im still just not getting the full monitoring I need to be getting?????
Am i nuts??

My doctor started checking me every visit once I was about 32 weeks. But most people I talk to either never got checked or was only checked a couple of times.
If you want to be checked, request that they do. Since you're 38 weeks, you might be dilated early and if thats the case you don't want to get an infection. (I was dilated to a 3 for the last 3 weeks of my first pregnancy. My OB/GYN was a moron)
If you're not getting the answers to your questions DO NOT let your dr. leave until they do. Express that you don't really know about (whatever) and its really bothering you that they're not answering your questions. You need to have 100% open communication with your dr. so they can completely understand your issues.
