Ok so here is the question.

Tanya is making a party hat using a cone made out of paper. Determine the height of the cone. So the radius of the cone is 5cm and the slant height of the cone is 13cm. How do I get the actual height (from the point of the triangle (top) to the bottom of the circle) of the cone?

Please help me this math is due tomorrow!!!!!

Think of a cone as a right triangle that has been spun around one of its sides.

s^2 = r^2 + h^2
(slant height)^2 = (radius)^2 + (height)^2
13^2 = 5^2 + h^2
169 = 25 + h^2
h^2 = 144
h = 12

Just asking but what does the ^ mean?
