1) To complete the square, you take the center number, divide by 2 then square it. So in this case it would be x^2+4x+4 and the perfect square binomial would be (x+2)^2.
2) Discriminant is square root of b^2-4ac, so in this case (-6)^2-4(1)(-7) which is 36+28= 64 which equals 8 when square rooted so the answer is two real solutions.
3) x^2=81 you would square root both sides, so it would become x=-9 and +9 and then 9^2=81 and -9^2=81 so it checks out
