The accompanying box-and-whisker plot represents the math test scores of 20 students. What percentage of the test scores are less than 72?
I am so stumped on this. I know the answer is 25%, but I'm not sure how to show the work.
Here's the box-and-whisker graph:
|-------|=========|===|-------------|
|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|-…
60. 70. 80. 90. 100
Each '|' equals 2.
I would greatly appreaciate your help!

The left edge of the box represents the point where 25% are less than that. It's the 25-th percentile, or the 1st quartile. Since the left edge is at 72, then 25% are less than that.
There isn't any work to show. The line representing 25% is at 72, so 72 corresponds to 25%.
