I need help with this problem! pleaseeee.

The world population in 2004 was 6.4 billion people.
The predicted world population in the year 2018 is 7.63 billion people.

Round your answer to the nearest integer.

The average rate of change of the world population between 2004 and 2018 is about _____ million people per year.

The average rate of change in this case is Change in people/ Change in time. All you have to do is plug in the numbers.

Change in people is 7.63 billion people - 6.4 billion people = 1.23 billion people
Change in time is 2018 - 2004 = 14 years

Plug those into the formula and you get *drum roll please
...
...

.0879 Billion people per year or
87.9 Million people per year

FYI this is a linear change question but the population would follow an exponential change so don't use the answer in real life.

-
formula ---> average rate = (7.63 - 6.4)/14 = 0.0879 billion/year
