hope it helps u lot!Step 1,Step 2,Step 3,Step 4,Step 5,......
please help!

-
here, -5(1-5x)+ 5(-8x-2)= -4x-8x
or, -5+25x -40x -10 = -12x
or, 25x-40x +12x = 10+5
or, 37x - 40x = 15
or, -3x = 15
or, x = 15/-3
or, x = -5
Hence, x means -5.

hope it helps u lot!

Problem: -5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)=-4x-8x

Step 1, Distribute the -5 and the 5
-5 + 25x - 40x - 10 = -4x - 8x

Step 2, Combine like terms (the x's on each side)
-5 -15x - 10 = -12x

Step 3, Add 15x to each side (to move the -15x from the left)
-5 - 10 = 3x

Step 4, Subtract -5 - 10
-15 = 3x

Step 5, Divide -15/3
x = -15/3

x = -5

-
first combine like terms and multiply parenthesis
-5+25x-40x-10=-12x
combine like terms
-15-15x=-12x
add 15x on both sides
-15=3x
divide 3 on both sides
-5=x

So your answer is x=-5

To double check, "plug in" -5 for x to see if statement is true.

-5(1-5(-5))+5(-8(-5)-2)=-4(-5)-8(-5)
-5(26)+5(38)=20+40
-130+190=60
60=60

Correct.

-
1) -5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)=-4x-8x
2) -5 +25x -40x -10 = -4x -8x
3) -15 -15x= -12x
4)-15x +12x= 15
5)-3x= 15
6)x= -5

-
- 5(1 - 5x) + 5(- 8x - 2) = - 4x - 8x
- 5 + 25x - 40x - 10 = - 4x - 8x
- 15x - 15 = - 12x
- 3x = 15
x = - 5.

-
-5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)=-4x-8x
-5+25x-40x-10=-12x
25x-40x+12x=5+10
-3x=15
x=-5

-
-5+25x-40x+10=12X
-5-15x=12x
5=27x
5/27=x

-
X= 5
