A sotre sells about 50 of a new model of DVD player per month at a price of $140 each. For each $10 decrease in price, avout 5 more DVD players per month are sold. How much should the store charge in order to maximize monthly revenue? What is the maximum monthly revenue?
If you help that would be apreciated thanks(:

Are u in Calc?
R=revenue
x=numbers of DVD
R(x)=(50+5x)(140-10x)
R(x)=50(10+x)(14-x) = 50(140+4x-x^2)
dR/dx=50(4-2x)=100(2-x)
Maximum monthly revenue: dR/dx=0
x=2
The store should charge $(140-2*10)=$120
R(max)=(50+5*2)(140-10*2)=$7,200
