2.4. 3.820*10^3-in scientific notation..basically u have to have only one number before the decimal place.......
What are these a scientific notations and how do you get them there?
1- 1'000
2- 345
3-21'768
4- 3'820

-
TO find scientific notation you move the decimal point to the point on the number where the number is between 1 and 10 then take the number of places you moved it over then say Number in the ones place * 10^ how every many places over you moved it. P.s. the carrot means to the *blank* so of you were writing on paper it would really be a little number on the top right corner of the number of places you moved it over.
1. 1*10^3
2. 3.45*10^2
3. 2.1768*10^4
4. 3.820*10^3

in scientific notation..basically u have to have only one number before the decimal place...so
1) 1,000 = 1.0 x 10^3...that is because u move the decimal place left three units to get from 1000 to 1
2) 345 = 3.45 x 10^2...that is because u move the decimal place left 2 units to get from 345 to 3.45
3) 21,768 = 2.1768 x 10^4...that is because u move the decimal place left 4 units to get from 21,768 to 2.1768
4) 3,820 = 3.820 x 10^3 .... that is because u move the decimal place left 3 units to get from 3,820 to 3.820

-
1 X 10 to the power of 3
3.45 X 10 to the power of 2
2.1768 X 10 to the power of 4
3.820 X 10 to the power of 3
