0 is considered the 'origin' .. positive numbers RISE from zero (and are 'greater than'), negative numbers FALL from zero (and are 'less than')
Thus, a bigger negative number (one further from zero) is always 'less than' a smaller negative number (one closer to zero) .

I figured it out in the same way as "is 10 less than or greater than 20".

It is smaller than as it is the equivlant of 0.6 and that is a smaller number than 0.58 sorry about my previous answer :L
