How do I solve this equation

log [base 5] (5 + 4x) - log [base 5] (3 + x) = log [base 5] (3)

The original equation, before taking logs, was (5+ 4X)/ (3 + X) = 3
solving, X = 4

Note ...since all items are to the same log base, the value of the base can be ignored.
