. [we want to get the n by itself so we take the 4 away from the n side] ... n = 8 - 4 ........
3(2x + 1) = 33
2(7x - 5) = 32
3x + 5 = 2x + 11
4x - 1 = 2x + 13

-
3(2x + 1) = 33
6x+3=33
6x=30
x=5

2(7x - 5) = 32
14x-10=32
14x=42
x=3

3x + 5 = 2x + 11
x+5=11
x=6

4x - 1 = 2x + 13
2x-1=13
2x=12
x=6

-
6x + 3 = 33
6x = 33 - 30
6x = 30
x = 30/6
x - 5

14x - 10 = 32
14x = 32 + 10
14x = 42
x = 42/14
x = 3

3x - 2x = 11 - 5
x = 6

4x - 2x = 13 + 1
2x = 14
x = 14/2
x = 7

[to expand brackets you x's everything inside the brackets with the outside number... so ... 6 (n+2) = 6n + 12]

[To rearrange/simplify/solve equations you need to make sure you keep each sides of the ='s sign the same, so if you take away 4 from one side you must also take it from the other side... eg ...
4 + n = 8 ... [we want to get the n by itself so we take the 4 away from the n side] ... n = 8 - 4 ...
n = 4 ... you must make sure the keep them balanced though, so because i took 4 away from one side i had to take it away from the other side too]

3(2x + 1) = 33 <--Simply (The brackets)
6x + 3 = 33 <-- Take 3 to the other side, to get 6x by itself. Note: Signs changes when switching sides.
6x = 33 - 3 <--Simplify
6x = 30 <--Divide both sides by 6 to get x itself.
x = 30/6
x = 5
-----------------------------

2(7x - 5) = 32
14x - 10 = 32
14x = 32 + 10
14x = 42
x = 42/14
x = 3
-------------------------------

3x + 5 = 2x + 11
3x - 2x = 11 - 5
x = 6
--------------------------------

4x - 1 = 2x + 13
4x - 2x = 1 + 13
2x = 14
x = 14/2
x = 7

NOTE: You can check your answers by plugging the x value instead of x. If the two sides are equal to each other, then your answer is correct. Hope this helps =)

Hey I think I can help you with this. Ok then lets see. Multiply 2x+1 by 3 which gives you 6xplus 3 ok?Then you put the 3 on the other side and it becomes a minus quantity which reduces 33 to 30 Ok? get that? Believe me!! then you have what? OMG!! maybe I'm wrong NO! hold on here. Let me think!! Ok now you have what? 6x equals 30. right ? therefore divide 6 into 30 and you get what? Yeah! you get 5. Ok so x equals five. Am I right or wrong? So this has all been too much for me right now. I haven't been to school for like centuries and I need a cup of tea after all that mathematics. So....if you use the same kind of reasoning in the other questions er....you might get the right answers. HOPE you do!!!!!!!

1) multiply out the brackets making 6x+3= 33 6x=30 x=5
2) multiply out the brackets making 14x-10=32 14x=42 7x=21 x=3
3)move the x's onto one side and numbers on the other x+5 =11 x=6
4)move the x's onto one side and numbers on the other 2x-1= 13 2x=12 x=6
There you go :)

First one:
3 x 2x + 3 x 1 = 33
6x + 3 = 33
6x = 30
X = 30/6
X = 5

Second one:
2 x 7x - 2 x 5 = 32
14x - 10 = 32
14x = 42
X = 42/14
X = 3

Third one:
3x - 2x = 11 - 5
X = 6

Fourth one:

You should be able to figure it out by looking at the solution for #3
