in a hexagon ..if you join all the points from any one single point .. you will get somewhat like

sorry .. i couldnt get such an image for a hexagon !
there .. you find that 4 triangles can be formed ..
.'. : total angle inside a hexagon = 4 x 180 = 720

For any polygon the outside angles always add to 360 degrees. If it's a regular hexagon then the angles are all 360/N or 60 degrees and the interior angles are all 180 minus that number or 120 degrees. So six angles of 120 degrees add up to 720 degrees.

720 degrees
Formula:
(n-2)*180
where n is the number of sides,
in this case 6
(6-2)=4
then your problem becomes
4*180 = 720
hope it helps and remember search engines are your friend...

there 6 interior angles. sum of total internel angles 720°. each angle is 120°
-
Interior angle total = 180n - 360 where n is the number of sides the shape has
180 x 6 - 360 = 720
180 x 6 - 360 = 720
-
120 x 6 = 720 degrees
