I know this is a simple calculator question--hell, I could do it without one no problem. But I can't remember how to do the proper significant figures!
I thought since you follow order of operations (parentheses first, then the division) the answer should only have 3 sigfigs (like 84.3). But, even after reviewing the rules for sigfigs, I can't get this right... I feel prettttty dumb as a calc 2 student. Help please/an explanation of the rules that lead to the right answer? Thanks so much.

11000 if you key it off the 0.0055 (always write the leading zeros!)
However, since the exact answer is 11262, In the interests of precision, I would be uncomfortable with throwing away the 3rd place digit (3) because 55 is five time eleven. If it were my expereiment, I would see 11300 as a more accurate answer.
BUT you only had two digit in 0.0055!
