I need help with a little equations! ! Help Me :)

Another Question About The Equations.
The equations is
1).10+2(x+6)=-10
2).8(x-2)=3(x+5)+1
It's two separate questions
Can you show me the steps on how to do it?

1) 10 + 2(x+6) = -10
10 + 2x + 12 = -10 Distributive property -- 2(x+6) --> 2x + 2(6)
22 + 2x = -10 Add 12 + 10
2x = -32 subtract 22 from both sides to get rid of "22"
x = -16 divide both sides by 2 to get x alone

2) 8(x-2) = 3(x+5) + 1
8x - 16 = 3x + 15 + 1 distributive property
5x - 16 = 15 + 1 subtract 3x from both sides to get rid of "3x"
5x - 16 = 16 add 15 + 1
5x = 32 add 16 to both sides to get rid of "-16"
x = 6.4 divide both sides by 5 to get x alone.

I am actually in 9th grade first year in high school and doing this for homework

Okay you have to distribute sooo... 10+2x+12=-10 ←That was done by bringing 2 and x together then multiplying 2 and 6 to get 12.Then 22+2x=10 ←This was done by combining like terms 10+12=22. Next subtract 22 from the 22 to make it zero and then subtract 22 from 10 to make it -12 so it should look like this 2x= -12. Now divide 2x÷2 and that cancels out. Now for the last part. Divide -12÷2 and that is -6 sooooo x= -6. I THINK. LOL Well I'm pretty good in math. But its either positive 6 or negative

1.) 10+2(x+6)= -10
Distribute 10+2x+12= -10 (multiply the two by x, then two by 6)
Combine 2x+22= -10 (add 10 and 12)
Isolate Variable 2x= -32 ( -10 - 22)
x= -16 (Divide both sides by 2)

2.) 8(x-2)=3(x+5)+1
8x-16=3x+15+1 (multiply 8 by x, then by negative 2=Multiply 3 by x, then by 5)
