I know there are some in California, but are there any elsewhere?

-
Most of them are in California, but there are also a few in southern Oregon as well.

Redwoods are found on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada Range in central eastern California as well as on the Northern California Coast and several miles into Oregon. One species is also found in the Sichuan-Hubei region of China although it is very rare and was thought to be extinct in the wild until its rediscovery in the 1940's.
