Compare the polarity between water and alcohol

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-07] [Hit: ]
-If a chemical is polar then the atomic structure is bent or symetrical.H2O or water is a bent shape so its polar, however there is alot of types of alcohols which means there is a different polarity for different molecules.-Water, of course. Reason: Water has two H- bonds; H-O-H.......
Could you tell me which one has stronger polarity, please? I suppose water is more polar?

Water, of course. Reason: Water has two H- bonds; H-O-H.
Alcohol is polar but only has one H-bond; R--O-H (R is the side chain)
