Today I accidentally spilled a mixture of toluene and Cyclohexane on my hands during my lab class. ( i had a cut on my finger) How bad is this ?

Not bad at all. I work with both of those compounds on a daily basis, and both have relatively low toxicity levels and are fairly harmless. Just wash with soap and water and you'll be fine.

You're probably not in any danger of dying. It concerns me that you weren't wearing gloves; gloves are worn for safety so when things like this happen, you don't need to worry, you just change gloves and move on. According to the substances' MSDS they're both irritants, so if your skin has some kind of reaction, then you should see a doctor. But you'll probably be okay if it wasn't that much and you rinsed it off quickly.

If you spill something again in the lab, PLEASE let the professor know. He or she will be able to answer questions like this so you don't have to post "what if" questions on Yahoo Answers. It's important that the professor knows about any lab mishaps not only for your safety, but for the safety of other students working near you and for any custodians who clean up at the end of the day.
