If evolution exists, why isnt there any creatures evolving anymore?
-------------------------------------------------------
answers:
Ronald 7 say: Creatures are still Evolving
Even Humans Evolve
Look how far we have come in approximately 3.8 Billion years
Around the time of the Dinosaurs, we were little burrowing Ferret like creatures, that helped us survive the Apocalipse
They Evolved eventually into Apes, then us
Who knows how far we will Evolve
Our fate is in our own hands

red2queen say: I'm sure there are more creatures out there evolving. We just haven't found them yet. ####
-
anand say: Evolution is a very slow process, each stage spanning several centuries. Two or three generations of humans cannot notice it. We need to study fossils of several thousand years old to notice any significant change evolving.
-
Cowboy say: :)
You're young and not very good it this......evolution Does exist, it's still happening and you can observe it at will - but you have to know what evolution is and what it is not - you don't know that yet, but you're young.......
-
Jacob say: evolution takes millions of years and many generations to occur.
-
Lil Em say: All species are constantly "evolving". if you have kids, you kids will contain an average of 60 mutations that you nor your spouse had. Over thousands of years these slight mutations start to become more significant.
-
aalto say: Evolution is ongoing. Why would you think it had stopped?
Do a google search for "recent examples of evolution" or something similar. There's plenty of information out there.

arni say: If 'God' exists, why cant Christians come up with or produce a single decent argument or evidence for said deities existence?
Checkmate.

rick29148 say: MAGIC !!!!!
-
GodsLOL say: What makes you think they aren't? Life is always evolving.
-
Just Me say: because its a slow process and people ruining the enviroment are making it even slower.
-
Sky say: Why do you think we need a different flu vaccine every year? That virus evolves very rapidly. All life and all creatures are evolving all the time. Evolution typically happens very slowly in very tiny increments, giving the appearance that it doesn't happen when it in fact very much does.
-
Bareback_Monkey say: There are creatures still evolving, in the USA, it's Democrats, and in Canada the Liberal's.

If it existed, there would forever be creatures evolving.

yeet say: they are. you just can't tell because evolution is such a slow process

Nessa say: The evolution of the peppered moth is an evolutionary instance of directional colour change in the moth population as a consequence of air pollution during the Industrial Revolution. The frequency of dark-coloured moths increased at that time, an example of industrial melanism. Later, when pollution was reduced, the light-coloured form again predominated. Industrial melanism in the peppered moth was an early test of Charles Darwin's natural selection in action, and remains as a classic example in the teaching of evolution.[1][2] Sewall Wright described it as "the clearest case in which a conspicuous evolutionary process has actually been observed."
-
oikoσ say: There are. Try the London Underground Mosquito for example. The problem is that you cannot usually experience drastic changes in your lifetime or watch the process long enough to notice a change. Are you the same height and weight that you were when you were three? Did you ever think, "Gee, I grew an inch since yesterday?"
-
John say: Don't know if you've seen your empty world of gas stations parking lots and smog but all critters except for a few birds have taken off.
-
Anna say: Evolution takes centuries to complete, and some evolutionary traits are very small. So you probably can't notice them.
Evolution never stops, it's just a very slow process.
-
Barn say: We stopped evolving because we didn't have a need to evolve. If an owl had poor eyesight, it would die and not pass on its genes until there were no more poor sighted owls, but we kinda cheat nature by making things like glasses. There are many situations where nature should have taken its course, but we use technology to defy it, causing there to be no need for us to progress.
-
ctc453 say: Evolution is just a fancy way of saying natural selection over multiple generations. Natural selection is scientific fact and has been proven. It just takes a long time to have ecological and biological impacts
-
Frankie say: That place Darwin visited is lousy with ring species.....species close enough to each other can crossbreed but most likely sterile offspring....Species on opposite side of ring can't make offspring at all if they mate
Also, since like has been diversifying for at least 3.5 billion years a lot of "stem" traits have been lost. For instance, being a Mammal or a Reptile is a diversification as is being a primate over a Equine, then a great ape over a lessor ape then a Human over a Neanderthal(which was probably a Ring species Primate as Neanderthal DNA is found in 3%? Of Humans)...some argue skin color and features as minor diversifications but genetically its cosmetic as stripes vs spots not speciation

Carlos say: Um, have you seen Zion Williamson?
-
MARK say: By 'creatures' I infer you mean organisms.
No organism does or ever will evolve. This is one of the common mistakes too many people make regarding evolution. Evolution happens to populations and not to individual organisms.
Populations do evolve. You only have to measure the allele frequencies in a population and then come back and measure those allele frequencies after a given time, namely the generation time for that population, and you will find different allele frequencies. THAT is evolution! So, you can observe it.
However, for allele frequencies to change for there to be a significant change in the population or even speciation a very long time (usually) has to elapse.

Samwise say: They are. It's just a slow process, and we've only been aware of it for a couple centuries, so we haven't seen any dramatic changes.
(You DO realize that the notion of sudden drastic changes, as promoted by "X-Men" comics and some sloppy science fiction, is not the concept presented in the actual scientific theory? I will provide background on that, below.)
Minor changes have been observed, in forms of life that reproduce very quickly. Strains of bacteria can exhibit significant genetic changes, making them effectively new forms of life. I'm told by entomologists that populations of fruit flies, separated by lava flows in places like Hawaii, can diverge genetically within months to the point where they can no longer interbreed, making their descendants effectively different species.
Of course, these differences are comparatively minor. But that's because our observational time span is so short.
He who believes that some ancient form was transformed suddenly through an internal force or tendency into, for instance, one furnished with wings, will be almost compelled to assume, in opposition to all analogy, that many individuals varied simultaneously. It cannot be denied that such abrupt and great changes of structure are widely different from those which most species apparently have undergone. He will further be compelled to believe that many structures beautifully adapted to all the other parts of the same creature and to the surrounding conditions, have been suddenly produced; and of such complex and wonderful co-adaptations, he will not be able to assign a shadow of an explanation. He will be forced to admit that these great and sudden transformations have left no trace of their action on the embryo. To admit all this is, as it seems to me, to enter into the realms of miracle, and to leave those of Science.

Elaine M say: They do. You're not watching the scientific news. There was a huge story about a species of crayfish that made a quantum evolutionary jump, last Feb.
-------------------------------------
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/05/scien...
Over the past five years, Dr. Lyko and his colleagues have sequenced the genomes of marbled crayfish. In a study published on Monday, the researchers demonstrate that the marble crayfish, while common, is one of the most remarkable species known to science.
Before about 25 years ago, the species simply did not exist. A single drastic mutation in a single crayfish produced the marbled crayfish in an instant.
The mutation made it possible for the creature to clone itself, and now it has spread across much of Europe and gained a toehold on other continents. In Madagascar, where it arrived about 2007, it now numbers in the millions and threatens native crayfish.

swa say: Evolution does exist. A lot of creatures are still evolving including humans. It's just that evolution is a very slow process which take millions of years. 1 evolution if you yourself going from a baby to an adult. Over the course of 18 years you change that itself is evolution

-
Doc say: The first thing you learn about it in biology class is that evolution is a process that happens over millions of years . Why do we now see deniers insisting on watching it happen before their eyes ?
Didn't you guys read anything on subject ?

jpopelish say: On average, every person has about 10 genetic mutations
