Considering genetic entropy (result of sin) and highly complex machinery in our cells, the case for intelligent design is so much stronger. if there was a primitive man that was half ape there should be hundreds or thousands of bone and skeletal remains found throughout the world showing this race of people existed
Remember it took thousands of years for us to evolve from the half man half ape into humans so where is all the evidence that claims shows only a few fossils of deformed humans

Creationists believe that mankind was made in seven literal days the Bible does not teach that at all
Since the Bible is not a science book it doesn't go into detail about the minut structure of every aspect of creation it gives a general idea of how life was created
and if one approach Genesis from that aspect then each epoch of time could spend hundreds of millions of years and still be considered a day my time. Up until the creation of man

American Catholic say: Well, there is a ton of evidence for it. However, there are new theories cropping up like the "Mitochondrial Eve" and "Y-chromosomal Adam" , which, though it is NOT in direct opposition to human evolution, nor is it about the "first man and first woman on Earth," it has some rather interesting allusions about when humans might have been infused with souls. Though I doubt highly that anybody besides the religious would ever point to that.
