The sex of baby depend only from man and why ?

answers:
MARK say: Human sex is determined by two chromosomes called the sex chromosomes. Females always have XX and males XY. We get one of these chromosomes from each of our two biological parents. Because a woman is XX her ova can only ever contain an X-chromosome. One's biological mother, therefore, always give you an X-chromosome.

Men are XY and so about 50% of a man's sperm contain X-chromosomes and the other 50% Y-ones. Consequently, your father may give you an X-chromosome which would make you XX and a female. If your father gives you a Y-chromosome you are XY and a boy.

Venus 1485AD say: Women have XX chromosomes, while men have XY chromosomes. The man therefore determines the sex of the baby. Women can only provide X chromosomes and have XX babies that are female, but men can provide either X or Y chromosomes and make a baby either male or female.

tony say: What we can say is that dad's sperm determines whether a baby will be a boy or a girl. About half of his sperm will make a boy and half a girl. The sex of the baby depends on which sperm gets to the egg first.

X (or Y) Marks the Gender

Both men and women have sex chromosomes. Men usually have one X and one Y chromosome, while women have two X's.

When an egg or sperm is made, it only gets one of the sex chromosomes from the parent. This means that women can only make eggs with an X chromosome. But men can make either X or Y sperm.

During fertilization, the sperm cells race toward the mother-to-be's egg cell. If a sperm with a Y beats all others, then the fetus will be XY. The pregnancy will result in a boy.

However, if a sperm with an X wins the race to the egg, then the fetus will be XX. The parents will have a baby girl.

Nearly everyone's chances are around 50% for having a boy and 50% for having a girl. And yet, we all know families that are all boys or all girls.

Gordon B say: Males have X + Y chromosomes, women only have an X.

It takes male sperm to provide a Y chromosome to produce a male baby.
-
Gray Bold say: All diploid organisms with allosome-determined sex get half of their allosomes from each of their parents. In mammals, females are XX, they can pass along either of their X’s, and since the males are XY they can pass along either an X or a Y. For a mammal to be chromosomally female, the individual must receive an X chromosome from both parents, whereas to be chromosomally male, the individual must receive a X chromosome from their mother and a Y chromosome from their father. It is thus the male’s sperm that determines the sex of each offspring in humans.

-
Randy say: Men have x & y chromosomes while women have x & x chromosomes.
-
Coffee Drinker say: The concept of X and Y chromosomes is well documented in books and internet. Any person with internet access or a library card can easily find this information.
