If you snort a few drops of beer will you get drunk or will you die of alcohol poisoning?
Just curious if a few drops of beer will mess you up or is it safe. If safe, what is the limit?
Snorting obviously goes right into your bloodstream rather than being filtered, that's why I ask.

Elaine M say: Fluid in the lungs is not safe. No you won't get drunk. You can aspirate it and die from suffocation because the lungs are full of fluid, but that's not alcohol poisoning.

Dixon say: Beer ffs? It is nearly all water, you will drown first.
-
Ted K say: Neither. Not with just a few drops--the amount of alcohol you'll take in is not enough. But it'll be really irritating, and so your sinuses will hurt like hell for a while. Ever snorted water? It's almost the same thing.

Bela say: No, you won't die. The limit of snorting beer isn't from dying of alcohol poisoning but instead dying from drowning. Death only becomes certain when lung capacity falls below 30%, so since average adult lung capacity is 6 liters of air, if you snort 4 or more liters of beer, death becomes inevitable unless that beer is somehow expelled from the lungs.

Bill say: inhaling liquid will just get you drowned
you idiot
snorting powder gets the powder into the lungs where it is absorbed into the blood
snorting water is breating in water which blocks the membranes in the lungs and so you drown
at best you will get phenemonia

poldi2 say: You won't get drunk, but you will probably damage your nasal passages. You would not absorb enough alcohol for alcohol poisoning.
