How do Daphnia regulate heart rate?
Is it possible to regulate heart rate through osmoregulation? Is osmoregulation considered a physiological response?

answers:
say: Osmoregulation is the active regulation of the osmotic pressure of an organism's body fluids to maintain the homeostasis of the organism's water content; that is, it maintains the fluid balance and the concentration of electrolytes (salts in solution) to keep the fluids from becoming too diluted or too concentrateThe body can increase the heart rate in response to a wide variety of conditions in order to increase the cardiac output (the amount of blood ejected by the heart per unit time). Exercise, environmental stressors or psychological stress can cause the heart rate to increase above the resting rated.

JazSinc say: Oh who knows.
I just made the assumption that they have a nerve net to coordinate the beating of the heart organ.
