Evolutionists: Do you know about entropy and the 2nd law of thermodynamics?

answers:
Venus 1485AD say: Yes, I do, but you do not comprehend any part of Science.
-
Riley say: Yes. Order generally goes to disorder in a CLOSED system. The Earth is not a closed system. It has a constant influx of energy from the sun. Evolution doesn't violate ANY law of science including in thermodynamics. Nice try. Idiot.
-
Who say: yet- and neither have anything to do with evolution

it appears theists have no idea of either - cos biblical "creation" would break both of them
-
MARK say: Yes! Thank you for asking.
-
? say: Yes. We also know that you can create order from disorder, IF you pump in energy to create that order. POINT: Evolution does NOT violate any law of physics. In fact:

Given an early earth rich in organic compounds + a reducing atmosphere of the early earth + energy from the earth's core + energy from the sun + large oceans + variable climate + a few billion years, early life is a thermodynamic certainty.

thomas f say: Yes. The Second Law of Thermodynamics holds that whenever energy is converted into the performance of useful work, there will always be a portion of said energy that is not and cannot be available to be converted into said useful work, and must instead be radiated as waste heat to the environment at large. This is why humans must sweat when exerting themselves, and why cars and trucks must have 'radiators', and why electric power plants have 'evaporation towers', etc. etc.
And when a new and useful gene occurs by chance and is then inserted into the gene pool of a given species, thus improving the species' survival abilities, some waste heat is also radiated into the environment as a result. Is that what you are getting at?
-
JazSinc say: The system started with some great potential energy, and for the last 2.7 billion years or so has been maintained (mostly) by sunlight. It's a good thing that the sun is nice and continuing to provide us with useful energy, right?

Captain Matticus, LandPiratesInc say: What a novel and interesting poi-

Oh wait! Never mind! It has been addressed and dismissed, because non-scientists who try to use science against scientists are promptly and soundly beaten:

Desiree say: Do you have the faintest idea what you're talking about, ding-dong?
-
Dze say: lol .. it doesnt apply to their monkey fairy tale ..
-
Hindusufi say: Of course. Evolution is commonly called an aberration of entropy. Like eddy currents in a river.
-
skeptik say: Why yes. Do you?
