The 3 types of macromolecules present are lipids, proteins, and carbohydrates.
The fluid mosiac model says that the cell membrane is made up of a phospholipid bilayer with their hydrophobic tails facing inside the bilayer (toward each other) and their hydrophilic heads facing outside the bilayer. There are macromolecules imbedded in the membrane (looks like a mosiac) and the membrane allows some molecules to move through it (the fluid part of the model). The phospholipids proteins can move laterally but rarely flip-flop to the other layer of phospholipids.
