Will the total solar eclipse in August 2017 end the world?

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 17-04-20] [Hit: ]
no one would be able to predict them with pinpoint accuracy. Prophets in the ancient world used to do this and claim that god told them it would happen. Actually though, they were just better educated than anyone else, and studied the sky. Since an eclipse is just a perspective ordeal,......
Joshua say: I don't think people realize just how common solar eclipses really are. Presidential elections are less common than solar eclipses. It may not be a "total eclipse," from the perspective of everyone on earth, but everyone that knows what they look like could look up and tell. If they were that uncommon, no one would be able to predict them with pinpoint accuracy. Prophets in the ancient world used to do this and claim that god told them it would happen. Actually though, they were just better educated than anyone else, and studied the sky. Since an eclipse is just a perspective ordeal, I don't see how anyone could think it's a sign of the end of the world. That's ridiculous, actually. Where the sun, moon, and Earth are at any given time is just that; where they are.

Gary B say: No.

An eclipse cannot end anything!

An Eclipse is just a shadow. Shadows are harmless!
-
someg say: I totally believe it. The shadow of the Moon covering a small portion of the Earth's surface has so much potential to destroy the whole planet.
-
Bill say: A Solar Eclipse posses NO DANGER at all to Earth. NONE.
UNLESS you look at the Sun without eye protection.
-
Satan Claws say: So Clorox what's so different about the August 2017 solar eclipse compared with the February 2017 solar eclipse?
-
Al say: How silly. So the moon goes in front of the sun and casts a SHADOW on the surface of the earth, and you think the world will end?? Go live in a cave somewhere. you don't deserve to be part of the 21st century.
-
PhotonX say: Of course not. How would an eclipse end the world?
.
How is that in any way believable at all, never mind the "most believable way"? The Sun will be blocked over a tiny slice of the planet for around an hour, while it's blocked from half the planet all night every night. Eclipses have been happening for a few billion years now, and we're still here. Get a clue.

dylan say: Total solar eclipses happen all the time. They only make the news when they are going to be near a city and not in the middle of the nowhere or in the ocean.
