Hogar say: Silly, it's just the moon's shadow crossing the Earth. It only shades a small percent of the Earth's surface. It is special to be in a place where the moon totally blocks the suns rays. It is an experience you won't forget. If you look at the dappled shadow of a tree with foliage, as the moon moves the light spots will be crescent shaped.
