Not everyone that likes or understands science (or basic grammar) begs for grants or sits and codes all day or does math or draws pretty pictures.
But if you need to feel superior to people that might actually know more than you and understand simple concepts such as grammar and communication styles, well then you go right ahead and feel superior.
Obviously you judge a person's value and success based on the stuff you own - how very mature of you.

And the biggest grant I got made my name professionally known throughout the USA and elsewhere, without any fingernail hanging, just getting co-workers to do a lot of work.

Do you know how to make the alloys and plastics that are used in the materials you need to do your job? How about your smart phone - can you program it, can you design apps for it, can you design, build and run the network around it? When you get ill, can you diagnose yourself and prescribe a course of treatment? Can you develop new medicines to cure conditions previously not curable? How about your car? Same list of questions and then some. I can go on - I probably make a bit more (quite a bit I'd guess) than you. I can do plumbing - I have done some in my home. I can do basic wiring as well and some carpentry. I can also develop new technology that ends up making your life better by develop new knowledge. I know how to think and reason my way through a problem. In a post-apocalyptic world, I have a better chance of surviving than you because you don't think (as evidenced by your last dig - you don't have a rationale argument so you resort to insults). So keep on sponging off of contributions made by people like me. we make money from your desire not to think.
