quantumclaustrophobe say: Last year: 2016.
-
nineteenthly say: 2016.

Clive say: 2016, as you would have noticed from a simple look at the calendar.

Any year that is divisible by 4 is a leap year, except if it is also divisible by 100. Unless it is also divisible by 400, in which case it IS a leap year.

For practical purposes, just remember that the Summer Olympics are always in leap years. That's been true since 1904.

Why doesn't an engineer know this?

poldi say: A leap year is any year that is divisible by 4.
So the last year that was divisible by 4 was...?
-
Joshua say: A leap year occurs once every four years. The last one was last year. 2016. The next will be 2020.. then 2024.. 2028.. 2032.. 2036, and so on.
-
Brigalow Bloke say: 2016.
-
tham153 say: Leap years occur in any year evenly divisible by 4, thus 2016 (2016/4=504), except century years must be divisible by 400 (thus 2000 was a leap year, but 1900 was not, nor will 2100 be)

Ricki say: Exactly right.
-
Elaine M say: Dude, you're on the internet. A 2 second search on google for 'known years with leap year' would answer that.
-
Mikey say: 2016

There are 30 leap years between 1900 and 2020:
1904, 1908, 1912, 1916, 1920, 1924, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1940, 1944, 1948, 1952, 1956, 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020.
-
quantumclaustrophobe say: Last year: 2016.
-
Atwater2010 say: 2016
-
CarolOklaNola say: Lat year in 2016. 2000 was a leap year too, but 3000 will NOT be a leap year. A millennial year has to be evenly divisible by 400 that one major difference between a Gregorian year and a Julian year. Yes, Julian years are still used by by businesses. When i was an EOSAT intern, we filed the video tapes of satellite images by Julian date.

2020, 2024, 20208, 2032, 2036 and 2040 will be leap years.

If you want to see choos and humanity at its finest ( total sarcasm) be in New Orleans tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow is Mardi Gras.

mike1942-f say: 2016 - last year
Any year divisible by 4 is leap year, except 3 times in 4 centuries the 00 year is NOT. So 2000 was a leap year, but 1900, 2100, 2200, & 2300 are not - and if you thought 2000 was chaotic, wait for 2100 and explain it to people.
-
Gary B say: 2016

Leap Years are ALWAY divisible by four (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, etc.) EXCEPT those years that are divisible by 100 (1900, 2000, 2100, etc)

Acetek say: Every US Presidential election year is a leap year.
