There will probably never be another day where humans aren't living in space. And by the 2030s we will probably be saying that about the Moon and Mars. These are the last days of humanity being locked to planet Earth.
Also, the possibility is very high that we will have discovered alien microbial life elsewhere in our solar system. And we may have detected advanced intelligence from other star systems as well.

If you think of it it's only 3 years and 9 months , so it isn't that far away.. Just take a look at our world today, we are just entering the future, feels like 2016 symbolized the "welcome to the future", to me... Like I know we already have smartphones, 3D movies , robots , holograms, drones , etcetc but I feel like these last months everything has changed exponentially, Apple is showing its first dawn, as everyone is realizing brands are everywhere , new and better phones from new brands with better resolution and capacities, tablets, YouTube has become huge and the whole world is in there, what's the television? Lol thing of the past, channels are reaching millions of subscribers, and everyone is truly involved, drones are on any campaign filming everything, what happen to the camera men of the news? Eco friendly cars that use zero fuel are finally out these last months for every brandy mostly,

The 1990ies were nice. Lots of new technologies, a rather stable situation in the middle east, and the West was the uncontested leader of the world - China was still quite silent back then and the Soviet Union had just collapsed, so Russia was busy with itself.

Not very different at all except for the fact that the population will rise, food will become more scarce, poverty will rise etc. Good things will come but at a cost. Humans wont be around forever so quit thinking about what could be and start living in the now.
