Nobody has ever seen an atom and you cannot see radiation. In fact you cannot actually see air. There are lots of things that cannot be seen, but we still know they exist by using our intelligence.

There are many objects we've never actually observed, but can describe them as a result of the effects they cause; We've seen on paper how a black hole is formed, and while we cannot see one directly, we can see the effects of them on objects and light in space.
You may choose to believe the observations or not - that's your choice; but your belief or disbelief makes no difference in their existence.

In Astronomy there is no scope for any belief. There is no need here to elaborate it further. Things are "observed" and that is all.
It is ridiculous to stretch a BH into a Belief system. Beliefs are antithetical to facts that we only can infer by painstaking observations, as has been proved by the activities of the Church in medieval ages (and the havoc caused that one doesn't5 fail to notice unless he chooses himself to be an idiot).
