Mathematically, a certainty. And plenty of it ! But, life comes and goes. Stars form and expire, novas and super novas happen.

As Tennyson wrote in his 'Vastness':

We are existing at this moment in time. There may be other sentient life around, but not near enough to ever communicate with. There also may be plant life & animal life near enough - but not sentient life.

Well yes, microbes and bacteria are a fact but there might be life on other planets. A meteor that hit in antarctica had microbe fossils on it. So to answer your Q yes there is a possibility of life on other planets. :) :) :) for e.g. Kepler 22-b

I do not think there could be a possibility of life on other planets. I know there is life on other planets. It's called common sense. God wouldn't make so many planets and put life on only one.
